Revolver, The Beatles

🎡Taxman -Me: sing fewer songs about love. Oh wait, I did that joke already. Sorry, if there’s one thing that I enjoy in my music it’s rich people complaining about taxes. Tell me how great the USSR is, while you’re at it.
🎡Eleanor Rigby - I knew an Eleanor Murphy in college, and I cannot express to you how much she hated this song. I really enjoy it, musically, but as I’ve aged, I feel less and less comfortable with the subject matter. Where do lonely people come from? Really? We have them imported from Mars, you see.
🎡 I’m Only Sleeping -awwww yeah. Bring on the weird backwards droning sounds! Now we’re approaching the Beatles I like. Even if I don’t really like this one specifically. I don’t not like it. It’s fine. I probably just need to hear it like 47 more times to really appreciate it.
🎡Yellow Submarine - I'm not quite sure what this says about me, but this is the first song of theirs I unabashedly and unreservedly love. I played it on repeat three more times, and sang it all day long. The silliness, the weird sounds and voices, the sing-a-long quality? This is my Beatles.
🎡She Said - I like. Needs more listens.
🎡Good Day Sunshine - can’t complain.
🎡I Want to Tell You - they’re doing weird tonal things and I approve
🎡Got to Get You Into My Life - What can I even say about this? It’s great. Just great. You can have back 50,000 of the points I took off for You Like Me Too Much.
